PRIVACY NETWORKS LAUNCHES
PRIVACYVAULT FOR ENTERPRISE-WIDE EMAIL SEARCH AND RETRIEVAL
Customers meet burgeoning email management, search and
retrieval needs while maintaining regulatory compliance and
business intellect
FORT COLLINS, Colo., June 5, 2006 - Privacy Networks, the
email integrity company, today announced that its PrivacyVault
secure email archiving system is now available as an integrated
component of its Email Integrity Suite™ (EIS) Version 5.1.
PrivacyVault automatically indexes, secures, compresses and
archives email - enabling secure storage and effortless retrieval
through a simple Web-based user interface. The new software
is the ideal enabler for organizations looking to meet increasing
compliance requirements like Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA and GLBA.
In addition, PrivacyVault secures the corporate intellect
contained in email, a vital asset for today's businesses.
It is available as standalone software, a hosted service or
pre-packaged appliance from resellers and managed service
providers.
"By adding PrivacyVault to our EIS family of email integrity
products, customers can have a single integrated suite to
scan email for viruses and spam, eliminate unwanted email,
and then securely archive only the 'good' mail for compliance,
corporate protection and good business practices," said Steven
Berens, president and CEO of Privacy Networks. "Email is the
lifeblood of organizations and the need to securely store
corporate information is one of the fastest growing areas
of email integrity today."
Unlike point products or cobbled together solutions, Privacy
Networks has developed a fully integrated suite of tools designed
exclusively to manage all aspects of corporate email security
and management requirements, for both the SMB market and managed
service providers. The company's solutions address the growing
need for IT tools that include easily searchable email indexing
and archiving, encryption and integrated spam and anti-virus
functionality. To date, Privacy Networks has secured leading
industry partners, including Hewlett-Packard, regional resellers
and managed service provider customers, to strengthen its
growing market position.
"For our organization, email has quickly emerged as our most
sensitive corporate asset that must be secured, stored and
easily retrievable as part of our daily operations," said
Shelley Steinbock , IT Department Head at PR Pharmaceuticals.
"As a complement to our email security systems, PrivacyVault
provides a smooth and easy transition to the next generation
in email management that includes searchable archiving."
PrivacyVault rapidly retrieves email, saving valuable time
and resources that would be spent searching for, and perhaps
not finding, critical information requested. It centralizes
the storage of email from disparate sources, allowing customers
to quickly access communications and locate specific attachments.
This natural progression in information management is particularly
important since email has surpassed file servers as the repository
for the greatest quantity of corporate information.
PrivacyVault retrieves all emails and attachments using a
Web-based search interface. Search criteria can be by word,
phrase or date. Threaded links provide a view of replies or
discussions, grouped together in order of occurrence. Advanced
searches are possible by date range, by sender/receiver and
by BCC recipients. PrivacyVault provides a complete history
of both online and offline emails.
A recent study by Harris Interactive reported that 70 percent
of employees using email have sent or received email that
may pose a threat to their company. PrivacyVault protects
against the loss of intellectual property, and the disclosure
of confidential documents and critical information. It enables
tracking and searching of email content and records for auditing,
legal discovery, intelligence gathering or regulatory compliance.
PrivacyVault also is unique because it preserves emails and
attachments in their original format to ensure authenticity.
Pricing and Availability
PrivacyVault is available as software, a managed service,
or as a secure content management appliance from partners
with pricing starting at $5,000 or $0.40 per day per user
for a managed service. The software integrates seamlessly
with other Privacy Networks products that check for spam and
virus (PrivacyPost), forwarded to mobile devices (PrivacyMobile)
or automatically encrypted (PrivacyLock).
