PRIVACY NETWORKS INKS
DEAL WITH CH2M HILL
$4.8 billion industry leader selects Privacy Networks'
PrivacyVault for solutions' enterprise functionality at affordable
cost, ease of integration
FORT COLLINS, Colo., Jan. 8, 2007 - Privacy Networks, the
e-mail integrity company, today announced that CH2M HILL's
Managed Services business unit will offer its PrivacyVault
e-mail archiving solution as part of its array of IT services
and offerings it provides to more than 1,400 worldwide customers.
The agreement marks the continued rapid adoption of Privacy
Networks' e-mail management solution by leading managed services
providers (MSPs) and mid-sized businesses as part of the growing
need to manage and retrieve Electronically Stored Information
(ESI).
As the largest privately held company in the state of Colorado
with more than $4.8 billion in annual revenues, CH2M HILL
is a global leader in full-service engineering, construction
and operations. CH2M HILL's Managed Services business is part
of an integrated suite of CH2M HILL Communications and Information
Solutions (C&IS) capabilities. The Managed Services business
unit operates and maintains information technology infrastructures
and network-based services for clients worldwide.
"We needed a complete e-mail archiving and management solution
to help our customers easily and affordably address the ESI
requirements our customers are facing today - whether it's
for e-discovery, compliance or regulations," explained Robert
Clark, senior executive of business development for CH2M HILL.
"With Privacy Networks' archiving system, we have an enterprise-level
solution at a price our customers can afford - and easily
implement. We reviewed several other products and PrivacyVault
was, by far, the best fit for our needs."
Clark says that because PrivacyVault is available as a hosted
service, it offers a degree of flexibility not found with
other e-mail archiving solutions. He adds that the ease of
implementation afforded by the PNI solution is very desirable
in the mid-market where customers seek enterprise level functionality
but with considerably less custom installation and integration
required.
"Because we purchased it as a hosted service, it fits our
business model much better than other competing technologies'
implementation," Clark explained. "Plus, it works with all
the major e-mail platforms, which just makes it even easier
to deploy across all our customer sites."
Finally, he notes that Privacy Networks' PrivacyVault meets
all the compliance and regulatory requirements for which today's
e-mail systems must adhere. "For instance, on Dec. 1, the
significant revisions to the U.S. Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
went into affect that impact organizations of all sizes -
large and small," Clark noted. "It addresses the need for
easier and much faster ways to retrieve electronically stored
information, such as e-mail, for pre-discovery as part of
the litigation process. E-mail has become the lifeblood of
how organizations communicate today. Being able to easily
find, retrieve and produce a specific e-mail within a matter
of hours, not months, has become necessary for open records
request fulfillment and e-discovery to ensure business continuity
and compliance. And, Privacy Networks provides us and our
customers with the insurance to avoid that time- and financial-intensive
nightmare from occurring."
PrivacyVault secures, compresses, indexes, archives and retrieves
e-mail for auditing, discovery, intelligence gathering or
regulatory compliance for the mid-market. PrivacyVault now
contains new advanced searching capabilities allowing end-users
to specify search conditions for electronic discovery. It
is one of the key modules contained in Privacy Networks' E-mail
Integrity Suite (EIS), a fully integrated suite of e-mail
integrity products that simplifies and lowers the cost for
government, education and mid-market customers.
"Having the caliber of an industry leader, like CH2M HILL,
select our e-mail archiving system demonstrates why it is
the ideal solution for fulfilling open records requests; allows
e-mail to be retrieved quickly and easily; and, enables good
corporate governance for mid-market companies," noted Steve
Berens, president and CEO of Privacy Networks. "For mid-sized
organizations and MSPs who can't afford a six-digit solution
that takes months to implement, Privacy Networks offers an
alternative that makes it easy to get started at a price that
is reasonable."
