The latest edition of PrivacyPost allows companies to quarantine emails with large attachments prior to storing them on an e-mail server. These large files, if not quarantined, will have to be stored in the e-mail archive for the length of the retention period. Companies wishing to reduce e-mail archiving storage requirements typically institute policies against personal use of e-mail.
